About the Item

This dramatic and graphic pair of "trophy" sconces were created in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. Consisting of two inverse floating domed shades in milk glass pierced through their centre with a spear like support in brushed brass, they embody the simple beauty of great design at its best. Each shade houses three edison based sockets- six per sconce- providing up to 360 watts of light each. With their austere geometries and clean modernist lines, these sconces would be a winning addition to any style of decor from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been completely rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. Italy, 21st century. Dimensions: 43" H X 13.5" W X 14.5" D.
