Elegant pair of Swedish Modern wall sconces, handcrafted in Sweden during the 1940s. Each sconce is composed of a sculptural giltwood backplate with refined leaf-form detailing, supporting a pleated cream-colored fabric shade that creates a soft, warm diffusion of light. The combination of gilded wood and textile lends the pieces a refined Art Moderne aesthetic with a touch of neoclassical influence — characteristic of Swedish interior design during the mid-20th century.
