About the Item

Pair of wall lamps produced by Artlight Design in the 1980s. Each lamp is made of plastic and metal and consists of a circular front panel combined with a vertical centre section that holds the switch and mounting parts. The lamps have a clear, geometric profile, using simple forms and lightweight construction typical of postmodern lighting from the 1980s. Their surface and components remain original, showing light wear consistent with age and use. Designed for wall installation, the pair reflects Artlight Design’s approach to functional, characterised lighting objects during this period. The lamps are straightforward in appearance, with emphasis on proportion and layout rather than decoration. They represent an identifiable example of 1980s postmodern lighting design and production.
