About the Item
Italian illuminated wall art by Albano Poli for Poliarte is an abstract relief and wall light at the same time. The rectangular structure is in satin metal sheet with a composition of white, amber and purple glass cubes. The purple blue cubes, Alexandrite glass cubes, change to violet when lit or remain purple depending on the type of light received, whether it is hot or cold.. The cast glass cubes create a magical effect against a stainless steel backdrop with a single light bulb . This sculptural Italian Glass wall lamp Illuminates the space with a warm ambiance.
Albano Poli founded Poliarte in 1968 as an innovative and experimental lighting company. Poliarte was based near Verona, Italy. Albano Poli designed and produced lighting with a team of some 30 craftsmen. They made no more than hundreds for each model. This is therefor a rare Poliarte find that gives an enchanting glow.
The Relief is in the style of Angelo Brotto Sconce/Sculpture metal with Murano Glass for Esperia, 1960's, Italy.
