About the Item

A sculptural and refined pair of wall lamps designed by the legendary Danish lighting designer Poul Henningsen (PH) and produced by Louis Poulsen in Copenhagen in 1934. Known as Langlyslampe or “Elongated Lamps,” this rare model features slim amber-colored glass slats and brass fittings – a striking blend of form and function. Originally introduced in 1931 with metal shades, the glass version was released a few years later, offering a softer, more diffused light and a visually lighter aesthetic. The design is a prime example of Scandinavian modernism, balancing clean lines, craftsmanship, and innovation. These lamps cast a warm, ambient glow and work beautifully in both classic and contemporary interiors – as sculptural lighting pieces in hallways, living spaces, or bedrooms. This set has been carefully restored and is in excellent vintage condition. They can be hardwired or used with a standard plug, depending on your installation needs.
