About the Item

‘Lotus à quatre branches’ wall sconce in silvered bronze. The new lampshades recreated based on the original Ruhlman’s design. Referenced under no 3035 AR in the Ruhlmann archives, Musée des Années 30, Boulogne-Billancourt. Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann (1879-1933) was a French furniture designer and interior decorator and one of the most important and influential figures of the Art Deco movement, even considered by some the godfather of French Art Deco. His designs are characterized through elegance and purity of form, made with precious materials and expert craftsmanship, combining luxuriousness with modernity.
