About the Item
This elegant set of four modernist sconces were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature nine discs each suspended from a lustrous polished chrome frame. Each of the discs is blown in a translucent smoked amethyst hue with a wealth of murines, suggesting the texture of effervescent water. With their refined color palate and graphic silhouette, these sconces would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. They accommodate two Edison based bulbs per sconce offering up to 400 watts of light for the pair.
