About the Item
This beautiful set of four modernist sconces were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. In dialogue with the classical designs of the illustrious atelier of Barovier e Toso, these sconces features tapered conical shades in iridescent gold infused glass with spherical Murine detailing throughout. They are cinched by gold flecked clear Murano glass band and also offer a translucent orbital finial that descends from the bottom of each (also with Murines). They attach to a rectangular brass backplate (secured with orbital brass rivets) via an arm in the same material. With their beautiful glass quality and clean modernist lines, these sconces would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
