About the Item

A rare and exceptional set of four Italian wall sconces designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, circa 1959. Each sconce features an elegantly tapered satin-finished beveled glass shade, delicately cradled by a sculptural brass trident mount that extends into a faceted beveled crystal glass finial at the base. This refined interplay of materials—frosted glass, polished brass, and cut crystal—embodies the timeless sophistication of Ingrand’s work for Fontana Arte during the late 1950s, when Italian lighting design merged modernist restraint with jewel-like craftsmanship. The brass hardware has been professionally re-polished to perfection, while the satin glass shades remain in excellent vintage condition, free from chips or discoloration. These sconces radiate a soft, diffused glow and add sculptural presence to any interior—equally suited for a grand hallway, dressing room, or modern living space. Dimensions: H 17.75 in. × W 6.25 in. × D 6.75 in.
