About the Item
Pair of Italian Mid-Century Modern wall sconces made of brass with black lacquered metal elements and solid opaline glass shades. The glass diffusers are shaped in an elegant teardrop form, gently tapered toward the top, giving the sconces a soft, sculptural presence on the wall.
The opaline glass provides an even and warm light diffusion, while the angled brass arms and restrained black lacquered details create a refined contrast between organic volumes and clean architectural lines. The design is representative of Italian modern lighting from the mid-20th century, combining clarity of form with balanced proportions.
The sconces are fitted with standard E14 sockets, suitable for use in Europe as well as in the USA and Canada with compatible bulbs.
The circular wall plates measure 10 cm in diameter (approximately 3.9 inches).
The brass surfaces show a natural patina consistent with age, while the lacquered elements are well preserved with minor wear in line with original vintage condition. The opaline glass shades are in good condition, free from cracks or chips.
