About the Item
A sculptural trio of postmodern wall sconces from the Cyrano series, designed by Bernard Dequet. Executed in chrome-plated metal, each sconce presents a fluid, shield-like vertical form with a subtly asymmetrical profile, characteristic of Dequet’s expressive approach to industrial material and light.
The sconces feature a gently undulating surface creating tonal variation across the polished metal. A line of exposed fasteners at the upper edge underscores the industrial language of the design, balancing sculptural presence with functional clarity.
Examples from the Cyrano series were originally produced with a fine metal mesh or netting element fitted at the upper section. This set appears to be lacking that original component. The sconces nevertheless retain their full sculptural impact and read strongly as architectural lighting elements.
Well suited to postmodern, industrial and minimalist interiors, and effective when installed as a group or individually.
Condition:
Surface wear and light markings consistent with age and use. Original mesh/netting element at the top is missing.
