About the Item

These exquisite and rare Italian light fixtures are a stunning example of 1970s Space Age design, attributed to the renowned Mazzega Murano glassworks. This is a pair of square wall sconces or ceiling lights, each crafted from thick, richly textured Murano glass. The base layer features a brilliant, metallic gold or amber fuming that creates a dazzling, almost volcanic effect when lit. Overlaying this is a clear, raised glass diamond shape, which is dramatically decorated with hand-applied trails of black glass resembling a starburst, a spider, or an abstract explosion—a signature technique of the era. The heavy, sculptural quality of the glass, combined with the bold color scheme and atomic-inspired design, makes them a striking statement piece perfect for vintage or contemporary interiors seeking a touch of true mid-century modern Italian luxury.
