A remarkable collection of twelve vintage industrial warehouse lights by Russell
Stoll of New York, these fixtures embody the bold material honesty and engineered precision that defined mid-20th-century American industry.
Each pendant features a cast aluminum housing—thick, weighty, and built for durability—paired with an “Explosion-Resisting” glass globe etched “Made in America.” The bodies bear their original Russell
Stoll stenciled markings, including Cat. 4202BCH, Group CD and Cat. No. 4557R, Class I, Group CD, confirming their heavy-duty, factory-grade specifications (rated 300–500 watts, 250 volts).
Recovered from a Florida warehouse, the lights exhibit authentic age patina: softly weathered aluminum with subtle oxidation and clear, thick glass diffusers showing only light surface wear. Structurally, they are sound and complete, with intact hardware and mounting points. The components may be installed “as found” for vintage industrial character or fully rewired for contemporary interiors.
Visually, the effect is monumental and sculptural. Suspended from their original 37-inch poles, the lights form dramatic ceiling drops ideal for high-ceilinged foyers, converted lofts, wineries, or commercial installations. The glass globes alone may also be used as standalone pendants, offering flexibility across scale and setting.
These fixtures harmonize beautifully with brick, steel, concrete, and reclaimed wood, introducing both texture and authenticity to architectural spaces.
