Givre Wall Light- designed by Christine D. Rouvière
The Givre wall light is a contemporary sculptural luminaire defined by contrast and restraint. Conceived as a vertical composition, it combines a single stone plate with hand-cast bronze, asserting a strong graphic presence on the wall. The piece reads as an object before it reveals itself as a source of light.
A textured bronze spine runs through the center, concealing an indirect light source that softly grazes the stone surface and reveals its natural grain and fractures. The plate—either white marble or cleaved slate—is held in place by discreet bronze claws, emphasizing the dialogue between mineral mass and metal.
Givre is available in two declinations: white marble with black-patinated bronze for a sharp architectural contrast, or cleaved slate with golden-patinated bronze for a warmer, more tactile expression. Handcrafted and made to order, each piece presents subtle variations that affirm its identity as a functional sculptural object for refined interiors.
