1920sArt Nouveau hand-crafted table lamp by Georg Thylstrup for P. Ipsens Enke
The hand-crafted art nouveau table lamp was designed by eorg Thylstrup in 1927 and feature two craws sitting on a branch.
The table lamp is in very good vintage condition and has been rewired so it's ready for use.
Height messurements are to the top of the lampshade holder and the lampshade is not included in the listing.
P. Ipsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull Danish company that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish design who worked for the manufactorer who over the years exportet their pieces to many countries.
Over the years, Ipsens Enke creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.

Ceramics table lamp made at "L. Hjort", Denmark in the 1930s. The base is made from stoneware and hand decorated with fruit branches and bird motif in Art Nouveau style. Original socket mount in patinated brass. Mounted with vintage green pleated shade. Marked by maker underneath.
In the 1850s at the island of Bornholm in Denmark the small terracotta factory "L. Hjort" specialized in producing terracotta earthenware items. The factory had great success internationally, and already by 1880 Hjorth's articles were sold in the big department stores of Paris, London and Berlin, and as far away as in Australia, New York and Sct. Thomas. The factory also participated in the big World Exhibitions in Altona 1869, London 1870 and 1874 as well as New Orleans 1885.
