Please note: The lamp is sold without a shade. About Jette Hellerøe Jette Hellerøe is a highly regarded Danish ceramicist who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and worked for a time at her father’s workshop, Haslev Keramik. In 1972, she established her own studio in Lønstrup with her husband, Flemming Schouboe, where she created ceramics until 2001. Jette Hellerøe is best known for her sculptural works, vases, reliefs, and lamps, which embody a distinct Nordic modernist aesthetic. Her style is often described as a fusion of brutalism and retro design, featuring unique glazes and sgraffito patterns. Besides creating works in her own workshop, she also worked with BR Keramik and Axella Keramik, creating many iconic designs from the 1960s and 1970s that remain highly sought after today. Her work is characterized by strong decorative elements and a meticulous attention to detail. This table lamp is a great example of Hellerøe’s signature style and an excellent addition to any collection of Scandinavian ceramics or vintage lighting.
