About the Item
1970’s ceramic cactus lamp Italian
These lamps are widely considered to be a design by the American Decorator and artist John Dickinson, however the only visible mark is one that indicates they were made in Italy.
The lamp is a beautifully proportioned and well executed design, the tall fluted base evolves into the large, almost porcupine-esque cactus body, profuse with formed ceramic spines, the lamp definitely has the feel of African influences and is a fantastic piece of vintage design.
Fully rewired and is supplied with a modern replacement shade.
