About the Item

Carved in France circa 1880 in the Black Forest manner, each sculpture depicts a jovial male and female figure seated atop a small wine or whisky barrel, rendered with delightful expression and detailed costuming. The carved walnut bases showcase a warm, rich patina that highlights the depth of the relief work. Each lamp has been newly wired and fitted with thick wax-style candle sleeves that complement the rustic aesthetic. Shades are not included.
