About the Item
A the crossover of the most radical modernist spirit and the french luxury...: A small and beautiful pair of, Art Deco, Modernist, Neo-Classical, simple and sophisticated, minimalist and luxurious, silver metal and bronze table lamps, in the spirit of Maison Bagues, to be attributed, France 1930s.
The rounded minimal design remembers the simplistic shapes of early modern creators such as Jacques Adnet, Marianne Brandt, etc, enhanced by refined relief details from the jewelry world, in what appears as a combination of neoclassical tradition and modernity.
The bases are made of silver metal but the lamp bodies are made of silver bronze, as visible in some of the "used" silver areas...
Each lamp is based on circular silver metal base, enhanced by very small and subtle circular reliefs forming a rich detailled ring. Each body is a pure sphere mounted on a central axis, both enhanced by the same circular reliefs giving the whole piece an thin pattern and a discrete presence, under an original french socket (can be replaced on demand) on wich a classical white shade is mounted.
These lamps are small but highly present on side tables or nightstands as they just shine as silver diamonds, proportionally to the bulbs intensity wich is adaptable : It is difficult to see on pictures, but the spherical silver bodies and the circular bases, as well as all micro-reliefs and details are reflecting the shades light diffusion, creating a beautifull, subtle and marvellous, mood enhancing the lamps.

IMPORTANT : Light intensity is adaptable according to bulb selection, and possibly a variator installation (on demand). Shades can be replaced by slightly different sizes and shapes, to adapt these pieces to any dimensions and art direction. International / US adaptors or sockets can be installed on demand for the buyer.
These 2 pieces are great quality pieces coming in their orginal condition, wich can be enhanced on demand for the buyer : The sockets are classical french "baïonettes" and can be changed for international sockets. The shades could be replaced by similar new models of shades. Please contact us about this.
These 2 pieces are in beautiful original condition : all complete and in great condition, showing a multitude of surface signs of age as rays, wich are giving these a unique patina, and after all, a spirit.
