About the Item
It's our favorite lamp we have ever had in 13 1/2 years. Sorry to finally have to sell it. A original made in Italy table lamp. Modern for it's time (1960-1970) doesn't really describe it. It is a modern art sculpture that happens to be a lamp. Just the coloration of the pottery is a work of art. Shades of blue and brown that is good from all sides in it's rounded edges triangular shape. The front is 2 stacked textured circles... modern like a abstract painting.
We purchased this lamp in 1999, with no intention of selling it. It was the most expensive lamp we had ever purchased. From a multi million dollar estate in Indian Wells, CA. The original owner had a custom made shade designed/made for the lamp. It's dark brown silk with silver foil lined paper inside.

A really beautiful and rare pair of high end Mid-Century Modern lamps made in Italy in the 1950s. Matte bisque natural white color with black bases.
