A tall, vintage Mid-Century Modern American table lamp made of hand crafted polished brass, designed by Gerald Thurston and produced by Lightolier, in good condition. The desk light is composed with a round white-yellow linen shade and an acrylic diffuser, what blockes slightly the light of the three-way light socket. The lamp is supported by a colorful, faceted marble base. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1950, United States.

He was one of the most innovative, ingenious lighting designers of the postwar time period. Thurston is know for his elegant forms and sleek materials.
