About the Item
This beautiful and sculptural lamp has been hand carved in St. Tropez around 1970.
Albert Tormos is best known for his sculptural stoneware lamps and objects. In the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s, he began producing lamps and other decorative objects in his workshop in Saint-Tropez. His creations quickly gained in popularity with collectors, and can still be found today in many Saint Tropez interiors. Tormos is inspired by natural forms and animals, and this is one of the few abstract lamps he has made.
One of the most sought after and largest Tormos lamps.
