About the Item

This decidedly modern pair of table lamps is part of the Alberto Donà collection. The lamp light illuminates the glass and 24-karat gold powder inside. Project of the Murano glass master Alberto Donà in 1992s The price of the item includes professional and tailored packing. We can professionally rewire this item according to your country's specifications. The ornamental Murano glass lamps are popular for their unbelievable beauty. Every object is finished perfectly so you can have a luxurious and lustrous ambience Alberto Donà Alberto Donà was born in Italy in 1944. He began working in the glass field at age 13. He worked with many masters and had opportunity to travel abroad to Venezuela to work with glass. His foremost influence was the maestro “Nane” Ferro, who was known in Murano during the 1960s as one of the best masters. In the early 70s, Dona opened his own furnace. He became known for his skill with colors and his ability to invent unique color combinations. Most characteristic, however, is the large size that Dona is able to achieve with his shapes. These qualities have attracted companies from Venini to Reflex to Saporiti, who have depended on Dona for glass accessories. By the end of the 1980s Dona’s talent also attracted many artists with whom the collaborated. Dona’s glass vessels have been included in various group shows. In October 2001 he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. Also he was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
