A rare and collectable Hadrill
Horstmann counterpoise desk lamp, dating to around the 1950s, beautifully reclaimed and in working order. Manufactured in Godalming, England, this timeless piece exemplifies British engineering and mid-20th-century industrial design.
This lamp features the classic adjustable counterpoise mechanism, allowing smooth movement and precise positioning. It has a heavy cast metal base with articulated arms and a counterbalance weight, finished in its original cream enamel with an authentic aged patina, showing light wear consistent with age and use.
The piece is clearly marked Hadrill
Horstmann Ltd, Godalming, England, with British patent number 637550 and foreign patents pending.
