About the Item
Bauhaus style table lamp, Switzerland, 1920s. Made entirely of bronze, and composed of a circular base with integrated switch, a solid pole and a half-dial upper screen, with a totally Art Deco and rationalist style, very typical of the Bauhaus style designs of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. Nice patina.
Very much in the style also of the Swedish designer Erik Tidstrand's creations for Nordiska Kompaniet, of the Swiss designer Karl Trabert's creations for B.A.G., and the Stilnovo and Oscar Torlasco's Italian creations.
For two E27 bulbs (compatible with American E26 bulbs). Renovated electrical installation, with original lamp holders. LED compatible. Some parts of the inside of the circular base have been replaced to give the desk lamp stability, and has been lacquered in black. Black velvet added. Renewed vintage Mid-Century origin switch. It seems that it lacks a trim on the upper part, but it does not affect the aesthetics or functioning of the piece. Signs of use and scratches (see photos).

That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
