These piece has been made in 2009. This is a beautiful Art glass work that could be, as the same time a sculpture and a table lamp.
These light, is a unique piece made especially by the Artist for Antiques MC
The technique used for glass is "Fusing", this consists of using a glass plate called "base" then superimposing other pieces of different colors depending on the desired result. The whole is placed in an oven and brought to its melting point (830 degrees) to form a single homogeneous piece. The difficulty of "Fusing" consists in controlling the cooking of the parts to avoid the appearance of tensions in the material (otherwise the glass breaks).
As for the inspiration, it was very varied, the artist was simply inspired by what he saws. It could go from the association of color in an artist's painting than from a mosaic of tiles that spoke to him, etc. He doesn't have a single inspiration, everything could inspire him.
For steel, he used a small manual press to form the glass support and holding plates and a column drill to drill and assemble the plates together.
The light is given by leds, behind the glass plate.
