A rare ceramic table lamp by Bernard Rooke, England, 1960s. Sculptural piece, made of handmade ceramic in natural tones of terracotta and stone, with an l new custom made matching silk lamp shade by René Houben. With warm bronze inner-shade.
The lamp is in perfect vintage condition. The lamp is offered with silk shade, we offer more special lamps from Rooke and shades from René Houben. Different colors and different forms.
Approximate dimensions: Ceramic only H 13.6" (34.5 cm) x W 8" (20.5 cm) at base x D 4.9" (12.5 cm) at base height to top of lamp-holder 28.3" (72 cm).
René Houben is a renowned Dutch light designer. René has been designing unique lamp shades for more than 25 years. From colorful and exuberant to modest. For every extraordinary lamp base (carefully selected antique and vintage items), he designs an applicable shade. His custom made creations are unique because of his interesting use of form and color. They also stand out because of their indirect, soothing and intimate light. Houben is well known and loved by interior designers and decorators all-over Europe.
Bernard Rooke pottery is highly prized among collectors and interior designers. Bernard Rooke was born in 1938 and is an iconic British Studio potter and Artist. Bernard Rook's ceramic art is unique, stunning to look at and it looks that each piece tells a little story.
