About the Item
Sleek Dome table lamp, manufactured by the German lighting firm Beisl Leuchten in the 1970s. An example of Space Age design, this piece balances minimalist form with high-quality materials.
The lamp features a high-gloss chrome cylindrical stem and a heavy circular base that provides excellent stability. The defining feature is the large, mushroom-shaped shade made of white opal plexiglass (acrylic). This shade is capped with a distinctive, oversized chrome flat-disc finial, a signature detail of Beisl's high-end production.
Beneath the shade, two light sources ensure a warm, evenly diffused glow, making it perfect for use as an atmospheric table lamp or a functional desk light. The clean lines and monochromatic palette allow it to blend seamlessly into Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus-inspired, or contemporary interiors.
Condition: The item is in Excellent vintage condition. The chrome plating is bright with minimal signs of wear. The white plexiglass shade is clean and free of cracks.
