About the Item
We will not claim to be experts within the very sensitive and complex realm of old Chinese export porcelain. But this set of vintage/old 20th century porcelain baluster vases converted into table or small floor lamps has the look and feel of some degree of quality. A set of 8 in total came from a foreclosed manor house in the Southern part of Denmark. Whether or not these dates from the late 19th century, early, mid or even latter part of the 20th we cannot say for sure. The makers mark shown in one of the photos and the crack where the hole to the cord is drilled suggest some age. What we can say is that the pale lemon celadon glaze with underlying floral motifs are skillfully made. These are sold as a pair of 20th century Chinese large table lamps or small floor lamps.
Measurements: H: adjustable from 70 cm up tu circa 97 cm. Baluster vase height: 50 cm, Diameter approximately 20 cm.
