About the Item

A beautiful ceramic table lamp from the 1960s by Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund of Canada. An icon of Canadian design from the the Mid-Century Modern era. Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund were originally from Denmark and immigrated to Canada in the mid 1950s. They began to produce a gorgeous selection of lamps. This particular lamp features a cobalt blue ceramic base and comes with its original spun fiberglass shade. The fiberglass shades offered by the Bostlund's were actually developed by their son Morten. It is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of the Lotte lamp and adds a lot of really nice texture. Dimensions: 20"H, 9" circumference on the shade
