About the Item
An artifact of America's industrial history, this large aluminum spotlight from the early 20th century was created by the Crouse-Hinds Company, a manufacturer based in Syracuse, New York that produced nautical searchlights and headlights for train cars, public trams and mining locomotives. Likely used aboard a large ship or railway, the incandescent reflector is complete with a functioning lightbulb and has been set on a wooden base and wired for use with a modern US outlet.
