About the Item
Art Deco and Cubist style table lamp made of turnet alabaster, Spain, 1950s. Composed by 3 solid alabaster spheres on a solid circular base of the same material, on which rests another larger sphere hand-carved inside that houses the lamp holder. The lamp holder is attached to the base by a golden brass rod.
The design of this Mid-Century lamp is very reminiscent of the artistic creations of the Spanish brand Eclipsi from the 80s. Very rare and unique piece.
The alabaster is a material that is both warm and cold, beautiful like marble but at the same time ductile and malleable like wood, translucent like opaline, which plays with light filtering through its veins allowing the creation of decorative elements of all kinds characterised by a structural and perceptive lightness.
For one E14 bulb. Original electrical installation reviewed and fully operational. LED compatible. It should be noted that, due to the age of the piece and the fragility of the alabaster, it has some slight marks of use, but that does not dispel its great beauty.
Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
