About the Item

A beautifully handcrafted ceramic table lamp designed by Astrid Tjalk for Kähler Keramik, Denmark, 1950s. The rounded, globular base is adorned with Tjalk’s signature hand-incised botanical motif, a rhythmic pattern of stylized leaves rendered in warm, earthy tones beneath a glossy cream glaze. The lamp exemplifies Kähler’s tradition of fine craftsmanship and the organic elegance characteristic of Danish mid-century design. Paired with a woven rattan shade, the piece radiates warmth and texture, creating a harmonious balance between ceramic form and natural material. The lamp’s understated palette and sculptural silhouette make it an ideal accent for both modern and classic interiors. Marked with Kähler signature "HAK" underneath. MEASUREMENTS: Total height incl. shade: 56 cm. Shade diameter: 44 cm. Shade height: 28 cm. Base diameter: 22 cm. Base height incl. socket: 35 cm.
