About the Item
A unique handcrafted table lamp by Italian artist Davide Moretto, combining a base made from antique cast iron with a minimalist opaline glass diffuser.
The piece reflects Moretto’s ongoing exploration of contrast between raw, time-worn materials and pure, contemporary forms. The sculptural stem, forged and patinated by hand, emerges from an antique cast-iron element — once part of a 19th-century architectural fixture — and rises to support a sharp, geometric glass shade.
The warm LED light filters through the opaline glass with a soft, diffused glow, accentuating the tactile surface of the iron and the serene clarity of the glass.
At once industrial and poetic, “Braida” recalls the organic essentialism of Giuseppe Rivadossi and the material sensibility of Gaetano Pesce, while maintaining the distinctive lyrical rigor of Moretto’s own visual language.
A refined synthesis of tradition and modernity — Braida transforms recovered materials into a timeless object of contemporary Italian craftsmanship.

Davide Moretto
Davide Moretto is an artist-designer whose work sits at the intersection of art, design, and craftsmanship.
