A unique handcrafted table lamp by Italian artist Davide Moretto, forged from Corten steel and set with hand-cut Murano glass fragments. This luminous sculpture reveals Moretto’s poetic dialogue between material and light — transforming raw industrial elements into emotional and symbolic form.
The surface, hammered entirely by hand, bears the rhythmic marks of the artist’s process. Embedded within the steel, vibrant red, amber, and gold Murano glass inclusions suggest fragments of fire crystallized in metal. The interior, hand-lacquered with gold powder, enhances the glow of the concealed CRI 98+ LED source, diffusing a warm, meditative light.
Part of a sculptural series that also includes the larger piece “Padre”, Figlio completes a narrative on creation, legacy, and transformation — two independent works in harmony, reflecting one another in scale and spirit.
Blending Venetian glass tradition with contemporary sculptural design, Moretto’s Figlio recalls the expressive sensibility of Gaetano Pesce, Ettore Sottsass, and Andrea Branzi, while asserting its own unique voice.
An intimate yet powerful work, Figlio stands as both lamp and sculpture — a radiant embodiment of light, craftsmanship, and generational continuity.

Davide Moretto is an artist-designer whose work sits at the intersection of art, design, and craftsmanship.
