Meticulously handcrafted by Amitābha Studio in Amsterdam, Gentiaan is a unique table lamp crafted from a rare vintage Delft Blue vase, produced by the renowned Regina factory in Gouda, the Netherlands, likely in the 1960s or 1970s. This exquisite piece bears the signature "Keizerskroon" (Emperor’s Crown) mark, which Regina pottery used after 1935, and proudly displays “Delfts Blauw Made in Holland,” attesting to its authentic Dutch heritage. Paired with a bespoke hand-pleated lampshade made from a traditional hand-woven and hand-dyed Ikat fabric, this lamp seamlessly blends historical artistry with modern, artisan craftsmanship.
The vase itself is adorned with classic Delft Blue floral motifs, reflecting the expertise and artistic finesse that made Regina pottery highly collectible. Established in 1898 by Dutch and Belgian founders, Regina began as a small producer of earthenware and later evolved into a respected art pottery manufacturer, famous for intricate, high-quality ceramics that were crafted to be as enduring as they are beautiful.
