About the Item

A Dutch blue and white faience table lamp of baluster form, early 20th century, decorated with vertical panels of floral and foliate motifs in the Delft tradition. The tin-glazed earthenware body is painted in a deep cobalt blue against a white ground, with banded detailing to the neck and base. The lamp has been converted to electricity and is presented with a pleated fabric shade, complementing the graphic character of the ceramic. A composed and decorative example of early 20th-century Dutch faience, suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
