About the Item
This table lamp, model 'Flex 659', was designed by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce in Italy. Originally it was designed for the exhibition in Turin in 1973. It is an innovative clamp design, with a flexible arm made of ABS and chrome, and a metal hood that has a black push switch on top. The organice shape of the flexible arm is similar to a human spine and makes this lamp afdjustable in many directions. This lamp is in a very good condition with smaller signs of age and use.

This adjustable desk lamp was designed by D. C. Arnoldi for Italian lighting company Luci illuminaznione d'interni, circa 1970. The company was founded in 1966 and quickly became known for their original and innovative designs of modern lighting. Luci has an impressive list of Italian designs who have worked for the company. In 1989, the company renamed itself LuciItalia and continued its identity as a producer of high quality and decorative modern design lighting. Here we have an example of an earlier Luci piece form the 1970s. It features an exterior chocolate brown enamel shade and screw on table mount. The interior of the shade is off white enamel and has a chrome socket cover over the standard socket.
