About the Item

A handsome French 19th century Louis XVI st. Sévres Porcelain and Ormolu lamp. This wonderful lidded urn mounted into a lamp is raised by a circular Ormolu base with corner supports of leaves above hoof feet. Flanking the legs are decorative lion heads all below a reeded design. The baluster shaped cobalt blue Porcelain vase displays elegant and wonderfully detailed Ormolu tied bows with a floral draped wreath below. The urn is decorated at the top with a mottled Ormolu rim with upside down clover designs below the domed lid and Ormolu top cap.
