Glass. This rare French Art Deco lamp sculpture by Charles Harva, dating from the 1920s, beautifully captures the classical figure of Demeter (Ceres) resting after work. Crafted from crackle glaze ceramic with elegant brass and glass details, the lamp features intricate floral, fruit, and corn/maize patterns adorning both pilasters, adding rich symbolic decoration.
The lamp’s design evokes large Greek and Roman vases, with hidden brass sockets and delicate candle glass shades completing the refined aesthetic.
