About the Item
A French ceramic table lamp by Huguette and Marius Bessone, created in Vallauris, the historic centre of postwar French studio ceramics. Decorated with a stylised sunflower motif, the lamp reflects the joyful, expressive language for which Vallauris ateliers became renowned during the mid-20th century. In perfect original condition, it has been discreetly updated with a new electrical system and is sold with a new lampshade.
Circa 1970, and signed beneath the base.
