ART DECO CHROME, ETCHED-GLASS AND MARBLE LUMIERE TABLE LIGHT France, circa 1930s unmarked Item # 311FWS30K This rich decorative table light features a pair of fish floating along in the ocean surrounded with hints of seaweed and air bubbles, the decoration acid-etched into one of the two layers of glass. One layer of the glass is clear while the backing is amber glass to create a warmer glow. Two chromed metal spheres on either side of the circular glass hold the pane in place while a light bulb is installed within the larger sphere. Light can only escape from a small opening in the larger sphere, directing that tiny hint of illumination against the glass to add drama to the fish.
