About the Item

An exceptional French turn of the century Louis XVI st. giltwood, gilt metal, and rock crystal lamp. The lamp is raised by an elegant circular mottled giltwood base with six unique and most decorative fluted feet and a wrap around beaded band. The beautiful and very impressive circular and baluster shaped rock crystal body display lovely foliate giltwood designs and lightly curved gilt metal reserves. All original gilt throughout.
