About the Item

This sculptural arc shaped table lamp was designed by the French designer Georges Frydman. A minimalistic design of a solid circular tube made of (heavy) cast aluminum, finished with a white lacquer. This lamp gives a soft direct light and a stunning eye-catcher in your room. In a very good condition with some signs of age and use. H 39; W 46; D 10 cm About the designer: Georges Frydman was born in France in 1924. He quickly became passionate about interior furnishing after meeting Le Corbusier, an architect and designer whom he really admired. In 1954, he founded the Functional Equipment of the House which will become the company EFA. He then organizes in Nice a showroom dedicated to his company, the journalist André Bloc notices his work and praises it in his magazine L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui. In 1966, Frydman received the highly acclaimed René Gabriel Award, a tribute to quality and economic serial furniture line designers.
