Gravity explores the perception of weight, force, and tension through a composition based on mass and compression. The sculpture is structured between two high-density concrete
blocks that act as load-bearing elements, containing and pressing the luminous core. The ensemble creates a clear reading of forced equilibrium, where volumes interact through
gravity, resistance, and counterpressure. The light, trapped between heavy materials, introduces a material and formal contrast: the immaterial against mass, the fragile against the
solid. Developed within the Aqua Fossil series, the work reflects on a future in which water has become fossilized and materialized in alabaster, a material whose molecular nature is H2O. The piece is presented as a tense structure, where
weight, volume, and matter define a minimal architecture sustained by opposing forces.
The work of Amarist Studio, led by Aran Lozano, develops from a direct relationship with material and natural processes. Alabaster plays a central role in the studio’s practice, not only for its physical qualities, but for its capacity to hold memory, light, and geological time.
Through this material, Amarist articulates the concept of Aqua Fossil, an ongoing investigation that imagines a future in which water has disappeared and survives only as a mineral trace. The works evoke organic structures, eroded surfaces, and translucent volumes that recall fragments of a landscape shaped by flow, pressure, and sedimentation, remnants of a nature suspended in time.
Alabaster’s translucency allows light to penetrate the material and activate it from within, reinforcing a constant tension between weight and lightness, opacity and transparency. Form emerges through carving and structural intervention, guided by an interest in balance, variation, and material response rather than fixed outcomes.
Based in the Pyrenees, Amarist Studio works from a context closely connected to stone, territory, and slow natural dynamics. This environment informs the studio’s sensitivity toward equilibrium, transformation, and the passage of time.
Amarist’s works—including sculptures, mirrors, lighting pieces, and tables—are conceived as functional objects with a strong sculptural presence. Beyond their formal qualities, they propose a reflection on environmental transformation and on the fragile balance between matter, memory, and time.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.
