About the Item
The sculptural design of the Mada Lamp plays with balance, translucency, and geometric form to create a harmonious, contemporary piece. The lamp is comprised of a marble lamp shade which hovers above a cylindrical aluminum or brass base. The finish is a hand brushed waxed technique which adds warmth and character to the piece. The lamp is touch activated through the base and has three dimmer settings. The light is filtered through the stone, creating interesting and intriguing light patterns and a warm hue to illuminate a space.

Our process begins in the material, with an interest in exposing the very tactile nature of making, while creating pure forms bound together by geometry and precision. Slash Objects was founded in 2016 by architect and designer Arielle Assouline-Lichten. Our studio is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and we work with local fabricators to bring the pieces to life. We believe that thoughtful design leads to a better world.
