Hand-Painted Delft Red Amphora Table Lamp with Old Rose Velvet Shade

About the Item

Exquisitely handcrafted in Amsterdam, this is a one-of-a-kind table lamp made from a rare hand-painted amphora vase by Regina Gouda, the celebrated Dutch ceramics house. Produced between 1935 and 1979, the vase is a striking example of Delfts Rood (Delft Red), a lesser-seen but historically rich counterpart to traditional Delft Blue. The floral motif — in deep raspberry red with touches of blush pink and gilded highlights — was meticulously applied by a master painter and reflects the exceptional artistry for which Regina is renowned. The vase retains its original crown mark and “WB” initials, paying tribute to the factory’s founders and its origins in 1898, created to commemorate the coronation of Queen Wilhelmina. The base is paired with a custom Old Rose velvet shade, lined in gold for a warm, diffused glow. A matching gold fabric cord completes the look, enhancing the lamp’s Hollywood Regency glamour — a style known for its rich textures and bold color combinations. The result is both timeless and decadent, balancing classical Dutch craftsmanship with a high-style, modern edge.
