Handcrafted desk lamp by Norwegian ceramic artist Johanne Birkeland, aka Jossolini.
This unique piece consists of two parts: a ceramic lamp base and a ceramic lamp shade. Both ar built and decorated by hand.
The lamp comes with standard North American wiring. Other wiring options upon request.
Johanne Birkeland is a Norwegian ceramic artist who uses traditional pottery techniques to make large ceramic pieces that challenge the strength of the material and the balance of her forms. Her use of dots and lines is an exploration of how different patterns can influence the perception of a form.
Birkeland is a licensed journeyman since 2019. She works from her studio on an island south of Oslo, and she designs, produces and fires every piece her self.
