The Whoop-Ass Can Lamp, created by Ethan Streicher, the founder and artist behind the studio Streicher Goods, is inspired by the Pop Art movement with brightly-colored, bold typography and pays homage to early canned food packaging of the 1920s and 30s. Each table lamp is hand-built from off-white stoneware, using slab-building methods and hand-lettered using various underglazes. To achieve a crisp letter form, the letter negatives are then carved away, leaving behind a texture reminiscent of a relief printing block. Each piece is finished in a glossy clear glass to add shine
saturation to the colors.
Powered by a 4" frosted E26 Tubular bulb.
