About the Item
A striking hand-crafted sculptural table/desk lamp from the celebrated Greek lighting studio F+M FOS, part of their sought-after “Roots” Collection. Each piece is entirely handmade, featuring hundreds of individually twisted wire strands that mimic the organic movement of real roots—giving the lamp a dramatic, almost alive presence.
The circular frame is finished in Oxidized Leaf of Gold from the company’s Uranus Line, creating a warm, luminous inner glow. The exterior is treated in a deep brown with subtle gold undertones, highlighting the artisanal patina characteristic of F+M FOS work.
The “roots” sculpture at the center is formed from over 500 strands of wire, twisted, braided, branched, and thinned by hand to achieve a naturalistic structure. These strands can be gently adjusted and positioned to create your preferred sculptural silhouette.
This example retains its original European plug and is designed for decorative use on desks, consoles, accent tables, or sculpture pedestals.
